Learn Typology
Discover Carl Jung‘s theory of mental π§ processes known as cognitive functions outlined in his book Psychological Types. This theory of personality types led to the creation of the well known Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. If you are new to personality theory this is a great place to start!
The Objective Personality System is a π₯ hot π₯ new personality model for typing individuals based on a series of 10 binary coins similar to those found in the MBTI. The system is designed with the aim of ensuring that independent operators of the model can consistently type the same individual on a spectrum of 512 types. 16 types is so last week.
The Enneagram is a typology model based around 9 interconnected personality types. Each of these types has a core defense mechanism π‘οΈ they developed early in their life that shapes the way they move through the world. Each type has a connection point βοΈ to another type on the Enneagram that guide that type towards growth. They also have a connection point to a type which describes the way they are when under stress.
Socionics is a theory of personality building on the work of Carl Jung and incorporating the idea of information metabolism. In Socionics, the mental processes and types identified by Jung are further categorized in order to make predictions about the ways in which we interact with others π§βπ€βπ§. One of its key innovations is its focus on Quadras, groups of types using the same cognitive functions, and how those similarities manifest within groups.
